SPRING SUMMER 2019

Roland Mouret’s SS19 collection plays with an introvert sexuality that manifests itself throughout the collection. Drawing thematically from the 1974 first softcore porn film Emmanuelle, with its subtext that spoke for women to unapologetically own their sexuality, through to the global call for action presently from movements such as #timesup and #metoo, Roland redefines eroticism and fortitude, ownership and individuality in a way that is empowering to women.

AUTUMN WINTER 2018

Roland Mouret cites Irvin Kershner’s 1970s cult film ‘The Eyes of Laura Mars’ as the muse for his AW18 collection, portraying a type of voyeurism; a male gaze towards a modern woman, in control of her own image. The film’s production design is pure, ecstatic real estate porn, the film stylish and fabuous, awash of paradoxes.

The Fearlessness of contemporary dance masters Martha Graham and Pina Bausch inspire Roland Mouret for this transitional collection, photographed on the multi-talented rising star, Kota Eberhardt.
